Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a strong statement during a public event in Delhi, expressing confidence that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will eventually reunite with India. Speaking with conviction, Singh said, “I am very sure… the day is not far when our own part—PoK—will return and say, ‘I am India, I have come back.’”
Highlighting the emotional and cultural bond many residents of PoK share with India, the minister emphasized that “most people in PoK feel a deep connection with India,” and added that “only a few have been misled” over the years.
Singh’s remarks reflect the Indian government’s enduring stance on PoK and come amid renewed public discourse surrounding the region’s geopolitical future. His comments were met with loud applause, signaling strong support among attendees for the idea of eventual reunification.
While no specific diplomatic or military developments were linked to his statement, Singh’s words are being interpreted by analysts as both a message of hope and a reaffirmation of India’s position on Kashmir’s territorial integrity.
